Help shape New Zealand’s future – in return for drinks and pizza

TaurangaTech founder and blogger Ben Rickard is running a series of focus groups to capture the opinions of local people on a number of topics. The aggregate of this research will be used to help shape the future direction and policy of what is currently one of New Zealand’s smallest political parties, UnitedFuture. The party is going through a process of reinvigoration to become more relevant to the important issues facing New Zealanders today.  They have an ambitious vision and want to hear your views on the following topics in particular:

  • Sustainability, economic & environmental stewardship
  • Middle New Zealand
  • Future focused policy
  • Tech growth, innovation & entrepreneurship
  • Collaborative government
  • Devolution of responsibility to local communities
  • Concepts of membership & volunteering

The event is being held at basestation, 148 Durham St, Tauranga from 5.30-7.30pm on Tuesday 10th March, with a second one at the same time on Wednesday the 11th.

All feedback will be anonymous when it is pooled with the results from other focus groups around the country.

Numbers are limited to a maximum of 1o per focus group.  If you want to contribute, be listened to and potentially influence decisions on our future as a nation please register via eventbrite (so I know what kind of pizza and drinks you like) at:  http://taurangatechfocusgroups.eventbrite.co.nz.  You can register up to 3 people, so feel free to invite a couple of others too.

Looking forward to seeing you there and thanks in advance for your opinions!

Ben.
