Web Meetup – 6pm, 14th May @ Basestation

This is a new format for the Tauranga Web Meetup group, being held at Basestation (148 Durham St, Tauranga) on 14th May at 6pm.

From Andrew Cave, the group organiser: “We’re going to try a new format: where we all get together and actually build something.

We’re calling it <codevelop/>, a bit of a wordplay on code and co-develop with some angle-brackets nerdery thrown in.
We intend to meet roughly monthly, and actually build a piece of software slowly and gradually throughout the year. We will include speakers where possible covering aspects of an application or related such as legal liability.

The first session will be to gauge interest, and talk about the ground rules. Then we’ll decide on what to build (we have some ideas, but bring yours along too!).

So if you’re a web developer, a designer, maybe a tester, a student, or just someone who would like to get involved in building software – come along and find out more.

This is a social event and followed with a visit to the local.”
